Card Identification

Hi,

i have to admit that I'm not very familiar with Java Smart Card I/O API. I just managed to connect to the card so far. Now i would like to accomplish a simple task. I need to identify a card which is inserted into the card reader. Is there a simple way to readout some kind of identification number? This whole thing has nothing to do with security, it's only about card identification.

I'm using a Chipdrive micro pro reader and some sun and gemsafe smart cards.
