Car hire systems

I have to develop a system for hiring cars via the web.

*the user enters a START DATE and END DATE (time is ingored)

*the system displays to the user all availble cars for that period (in a Drop down box)

*if a car is in use during that period then it is not displayed

does anyone have some examples that I could see, or tell me the best place to find some?
