Capture security certificate via browser

Hello,

I have searched for weeks in this forum and outside and just cannot find a solution. It seems you have to know the certificate file name. I will not know this.

My environment is:

PLSQL_GATEWAY: Webdb

Oracle database: 11g on Linux

Apex 4.2.6

Internet Explorer 11

Wallet has been created with valid certificates installed.

Using https and port 1443

Using SSL throughout multiple government agencies using individual certificates.

My requirement is to replace the userid/password login page in Apex with grabbing the user's certificate in the browser to obtain the Subject information.
