Capture process alternating between INITIALIZING/DICTIONARY INITIALIZATION

sgurusamJan 2 2008 — edited May 28 2008
Hi

Oracle Streams capture process is alternating between INITIALIZING/DICTIONARY INITIALIZATION state and not proceeding after this state to capture updates made on table.

This setup was working fine till I deleted few archive logs as there was no space left out in file system. Actually, I tried stressing oracle streams to see the performance of the DB, which resulted in crashing of capture process as logminer stopped as there was no space left out in DB. After which, I deleted log files older than one day, and restarted the capture process. From hereon capture process is alternating between initializing & dictionary initialization state.

I have configured just one capture process listening on one table.

Please help me to fix captures process to capture updates made on table.

Thanks
siva
