Cannot Write and Invalid Intersection FDM Classic vs FDMEE

Jay LanNov 15 2016 — edited Nov 15 2016

Hi,

Is there a difference between how FDM Classic and FDMEE handles Check Intersection errors?

Scenario: I have accounts targeting ICP None but should really have ICPs, triggering the Check Report.

FDM Classic: Displays ICP None in a blue font while all other members are in red

FDMEE: Displays Cannot Write all members/line written in purple

As far as I know, Invalid Intersection happens when the combination of dimensions are invalid per metadata, while Cannot Write happens when the cell is a No Input cell on the intersection of members in HFM. Both Classic and FDMEE use the same metadata, so I'm curious as to why is there a difference on the reports?

Thank you so much!
