843798Mar 25 2010 — edited Mar 26 2010I've somehow really hosed my system up. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Programs and Features shows that I have 'Java(TM) 6 Update 18', Publisher = Sun Microsystems, Inc., Version = 6.0.180
{color:#0000ff}When I try to uninstall the program from Programs and Features I get the following dialog boxes:
{color}
Windows Installer dialog: "The installed product does not matche the installation sources(s). Until a matching source is provided or the installed product and source are synchronized, this action can not be performed."
Click on Browse and navigate to: C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\jre1.6.0_18.msi
Windows Installer dialog: "The file 'C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\jre1.6.0_18.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product Java(TM) 6 Update 18. Try to find the installation package 'jre1.6.0_18.msi' in a folder from which you can install Java(TM) 6 Update 18."
Windows Installer dialog: "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
{color:#0000ff}If I try it reinstall it using the Install File: jre-6u18-windows-i586-s.exe

Java Setup dialog: "This software has already been installed on your computer. Would you like to reinstall it?" Click Yes.
