cannot uninstall Java 1.4.2

Hello.

I am trying to uninstall Java 1.4.2 from Windows XP using the Add/Remove Programs control panel.

I can't uninstall it because I can't find the installation package "Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2.msi" that the uninstaller requests. It claims that it exists in this path:

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\{7148F0A6-6813-11D6-A77B-00B0D0142000}\

The "Owner" directory doesn't exist on this computer (visible or invisible). So the uninstaller is full of shit. How do I get rid of Java? I want to downgrade to a different version.
