Cannot skip validations using JS submit

Hi all,

I am trying to submit a page from DA and since it is a delete operations I need to bypass validations.

I use

apex.page.submit({ request: "DELETE", validation: false});

but validation option has no effect, it keeps running all the validations.

Does this work properly for anyone here or is it a bug?

I am on Apex 18.1
