cannot enable in-memory option in 12C database

Hello everyone,

I have installed 12c DB(12.1.0.1.0) on win7 env but I was not able to enable the in-memory option.

Error msg : ORA-02065: illegal option for ALTER SYSTEM

Also if I query show parameter INMEMORY :- it doesnt return anythng.

Please let me know how to enable this as I have to do couple of things.
