Cannot create Ad Hoc Grid - "No valid rows of data"

MarkSmith_FDMDec 20 2013 — edited Dec 20 2013

Hi Experts,

We are doing a brand new Planning implementation.

We're tying to use the Planning SmartView connection to create an ad hoc.

Users are getting the error:  "Ad hoc grid can not be opened as there are no valid rows of data."  [The application has only a little bit of test data,  just for a few select entities].

I believe this error implies there is no data for the users selected POV.

I unchecked the suppression options in my SmartView options, and I was able to create the ad hoc successfully (displayed "0" of course but I could modify the query to select an intersection with data).

Two other users also unchecked suppression options, but they are still getting the "no valid rows of data" error.

Could it be that their default POV in SmartView is invalid?   If so, would they use POV manager to change it?

Are there any other possible causes of this error?

Thanks,
Mark Smith
