Cannot connect to WSL

Ramky99Aug 8 2011 — edited Aug 9 2011
AIX 5.3
Tuxedo 9.1
Tuxedo 9.1 client on Windows2003 server

On the Windows 2003 server we periodically see this:

180719.BMJKT-000224!?proc.3340.1596.0: LIBWSC_CAT:1055: ERROR: Unable to establish WSL connection
180719.BMJKT-000224!?proc.3340.1596.0: LIBWSC_CAT:1027: ERROR: Unable to connect to WSH
180719.BMJKT-000224!?proc.3340.1596.0: LIBWSC_CAT:1020: ERROR: Unable to obtain authentication level

..other clients are connected already and working fine.

WSL looks like:

"WSL" SRVGRP="WSL2" SRVID=102
CLOPT="-A -t -- -n //172.31.199.8:12002 -M 9 -T 60 -I 600 -m 1 -x 50 -w WSH"
RQPERM=0666 REPLYQ=N RPPERM=0666 MIN=1 MAX=1 CONV=N
SYSTEM_ACCESS=FASTPATH
MAXGEN=1 GRACE=86400 RESTART=N
MINDISPATCHTHREADS=0 MAXDISPATCHTHREADS=1 THREADSTACKSIZE=0
SICACHEENTRIESMAX="500"

..so a total of 450 connections available - is that correct?

I tried to count the connections using pclt but it just hangs. The only resolution is to stop and start the WSL so users can connect again.

Some questions:

- How do I know for sure how many connections there are to the WSL at a given point in time?
- Is my assumption that there are 450 available client connections correct?
- Why would 'pclt' hang like that?
- Are there any other parameters in the UBB that determine how many connections at any one time?
- Anything in AIX that might limit the WSL's capacity?

This is causing the WSL (and therefore the application) to be restarted several times a day so I'm a little keen to figure this out!

thanks!!
Adam
