Cannot access Oracle Apex 4.2.2 after changing character set of database

Hi,

My DBA had@ changed the character set of 11g R2 database from 'WE8MSWIN1252' to 'AL32UTF8'. He was able to do it successfully. Our database already had Oracle Apex 4.2.2 installed in it. When I try to run apex on browser I get gibberish output as-

When the DBA changed the character set back to 'WE8MSWIN1252' the screen output was required one.

Can anyone please suggest what has to be done because we need to change the character set of our database and since we have quite a few applications on Apex, I don't want to reinstall Apex.
