Can you use Varying Attributes EPM 11.1.2.2.300

Hi All
Going through the Enhancement documentation for EPM 11.1.2.2.300 & EPM 11.1.2.3 , i wasn't able to find if Varying Attributes can be implemented in Hyperion Planning, Native Essbase cubes itself are allowing to tinker the option.
Is it possible to use Varying Attributes with planning, even if planning web doesn't allow this feature? I have varying Employee type in conjunction with TIme, trying to avoid creating extra dimension's.
Apart from Smart list is there any other method to implement this Varying attribute with Time feature under planing.
