Can we use ksplice to upgrade a kernel's major release? ie. UEK5 --> UEK6

JustinWiedJan 26 2021

Has anyone heard of being able to use ksplice to upgrade an OL machine's kernel's major release? For example, going from 4.14.35-1902 to version 5.4.17-2036 without having to reboot the OS.
It looks like ksplice only updates a kernel within the OS's original kernel's major release.
