Can we remove a dead Oracle VM from cluster.conf file manually ?

3005345Aug 6 2015 — edited Aug 7 2015

I have a dead Oracle VM, it shows connected in OVM Manager, where as physically this host has been removed and formatted - someone has not followed the proper removal procedure.

Now I see this server entry in cluster.conf file on all the Oracle VM under that server pool. Can someone help me in removing the dead Oracle VM without disturbing the current running VM's in that pool.

a) Can I manually edit the cluster file on all the Oracle VM in that SP ?

b) If so after editing, should I try restart the ocfs2 service ? If so will it effect the current running VM's in that SP?

Please suggest ...

Thanks,

OVM techie
