Can we reformat our Planning windows server but keep Essbase Linux server?

ORCLSendsMeToEarlyGraveJan 31 2018 — edited Feb 4 2018

Happy Feb and stock market hiccup everyone!

We have planning 11.1.2.4 early version (from 2015?)

In our Test environment we want to rebuild our Planning Windows server from a VMware image and also delete all the EPM repositories ?  This would mean that EPM registry and Shared services will be deleted.

Can we reformat and re-image our Planning windows server VM but keep Essbase (on Linux) server?  In fact, I'm curious as to whether Essbase server (on Linux platform) can be re-used when we reinstall Planning and reinstall new EPM registry.  I think we can reuse Essbase server.  That will save us time as it would mean we don't have to backup and restore Essbase nor reinstall Essbase.
