Can we insert/create/add check boxes in xls template in xml publisher

Hi,

We had a requirement where we need to display check box in the excel output , we are creating a xls template for this and we need to add check boxes in the template.

Is it possible to add check box and it should be checked based on the conditions in xls template and excel output
