Can't update column from form. Can update from any other tool
We have a very strange problem. We have a Forms 6i application (Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.21.3 (Production)) running against an Oracle 9i DB.
One table CAN NEVER be updated through the form. We even used FORMS_DDL but with no success. i.e. inside the form it shows (we checked using SQL%Rowcount) that the record was updated. We then COMMIT; in the form. But when the operation is finished still the data is not committed. i.e. when we query the row from other tools it still shows the original value and not the updated value.
If we build a new form with just a button and update the table it updates fine. We can also update the column from SQL*Plus or Navigator.
It's just that this column cannot be updated from THIS particular form.
We tried every form of debugging and found nothing to pinpoint the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
