Infrastructure Software

When i click on a movie it opens Totem.

and after a while gives an error in a message box

Totem could not play 'path_of_the_file/2.mpeg'
Only a subtitle stream was detected. Either you are downloading a subtitle file or some other type of text file,
or the media file was not recogonized

I have downloaded the codecs in /usr/lib/win32 and /usr/local/lib/codecs/ folders

I have downloaded codecs from :
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html

Bianry Codecs Packages --> Linux x86 20061022 --> HTTP (US)

and install it as per instructions givnen here:
