Can't see any applets with Netscape 7.01 on wWndows

When I browse pages that are supposed to have java-applets, I simply don't see them. It's like they don't exist on the page at all. But when I try the same page with the same browser running on Linux, the applets work just fine. I've tried re-installing both the browser and the VM (1.4.1), but with no luck.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
