can't open drive rmt0 - device file not found

Hi. I'm a newbie here.

I am trying to test Oracle Secure Backup. It's been installed successfully. However, when I try to ping the device, the status shows as "can't open drive rmt0 - device file not found"

rmt0 is the defined tape drive on our server. rmt0 is a IBM 3580 Ultrium tape drive.

I can ping the host from Oracle Secure Backup. I've added an attachment to the device, but it still doesn't see the device file.

FYI. This is the status of the tape drives defined on the server:

lsdev -Cc tape
obt0 Available 03-08-00-4,0 Oracle Tape Device
rmt0 Available 06-08-00-5,0 IBM 3580 Ultrium Tape Drive
smc0 Available 06-08-00-5,1 IBM 3581 Tape Medium Changer

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
