Can't login at all with root!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I have installed the latest update of Solaris 10 for an x86 machine. After I got finished installing it, I tried logging in. It wouldn't let me log in as root at all, even when I used the password I entered during installation. I reinstalled the OS three times, all to no avail even when I used a simple password during installation and login. What else can I do? Thanks in advance for any help.
