Can't acess IAS on different machine other than server

Installed iAS 9.0.2 infrastructure and Application server on same machine and able use all the services successfully but I can't access any of the iAS products on a different machine. like
http://hostname:7777 - Infrastructure
http://hostname:7780 - Middle tier
http://hostname:7780/pls/portal
etc..,
Modified hosts file in the client machine and able to ping server host name without any problem but can't access the iAS components.
I found similar problem in one of the forums but the solution was to configure DNS.
"Issue Identified & Fixed:
DNS server was not configured to communicate IP address with machine name. Once DNS server was configured to talk IP address to machine name, the problem got resolved.
We believe that HTTP Apache serever looks for IPaddress:port and 9ias looks for computername:port. In order for Apache and 9ias communicate, DNS has to be configured. "
Where in my case I don't have DNS Server so how to solve this problem. Installed iAS on laptop and trying to access from desktop. Both are connected using a router.
Any help in this regard greatly apprciated.
