Can someone explain the SuperCluster PSU release differences?

I'm looking at Patch 26635325 (Oct 2017 PSU) for SuperCluster. I can understand the difference between SuperCluster Release V1.x and Release V2.x, but am confused as to what "Release Oracle Database 12.2.0.1.0" is. It too is a 30G patch so clearly contains more patches than just for the database.

Most of the zip files from p26635325_122010_SOLARIS64xxxx and p26635325_2x_SOLARIS64xxxx are identical, but not all. What is the difference? If we're running SuperCluster V2.x and Oracle 12.2 databases, which patch do we need?
