Can OpenJDK-implemented application run on OracleJRE PC?

If an application is implemented with OpenJDK, can I install the OracleJRE only? Or it must be OpenJDK-JRE? As I know, the OracleJDK integrates what have in OpenJDK, so my assumption is that applicaiton with OpenJDK should be ok in running in environment with OracleJRE installed. Am I wrong?
