Can Not remove a package
807559Nov 26 2001 — edited Dec 6 2001I installed websphere on a 280r running solaris 8, but part way through the install the server got hung due to network problems and I had a package that was partly installed. I was told by the websphere person to just delete the files and try again and being new to solaris I persumed he was correct but he was not. There is now a package installed with no files in the file system. I am trying to use pkgrm to remove the package but it completes with a fatal error due to not being able to find the files that need to be removed.
Question - is there a way to Force the Removal of a package using pkgrm, or can someone tell me how to get rid of this package as I can not reinstall. The reinstall just hangs.
