Can not locate WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS after installation

Hi all.

I have performed installation for Forms 12c (12.2.1.2.0) on a Oracle Linux Box (Oracle Linux Server release 6.8):

  1. Installed JDK

  2. Installed WLS.

  3. Created RCU.

  4. Created Domains.

Apparently i have installed everything, BUT when i get to post-install actions like creating boot.properties file, i realise not WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS were created under $DOMAIN_HOME/:

cd $DOMAIN_HOME

[weblogic@webFIGO frsdomain]$ pwd

/u02/app/oracle/product/12.2.1/user_projects/domains/frsdomain

cd config/fmwconfig/servers

[weblogic@webFIGO servers]$ ls

AdminServer

pwd

/u02/app/oracle/product/12.2.1/user_projects/domains/frsdomain/config/fmwconfig/servers

I can access console and EM:

I can't find WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS here or anywhere

What went wrong?????

Help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I noticed there are some addtional steps during the config Domain phase which i'm not familiar with. Maybe i was suppose to supply a value here....

I found there's an issue with Forms & Reports 12.2.1.2, which causes  WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS cannot be started.

Check $DOMAIN_HOME/bin/startManagedWebLogic.sh

change

ADMIN_URL="http://frs12c.local:7001"

to

ADMIN_URL="t3://frs12c.local:7001"

Answer

First you have to manually start servers with startManagedWeblogic.sh in $DOMAIN_HOME/bin:

./startManagedWebLogic.sh WLS_FORMS http://webFIGO.aaosa.ve:7001

./startManagedWebLogic.sh WLS_REPORTS http://webFIGO.aaosa.ve:7001

Then you will have all necessary folders.

Thanks a lot Matthew.

I've done like 3 installation for Forms 11g and now 2 of Forms 12c. I thought these directories were created during the create domain phase. It seems they are created after starting Managed Servers!!!.
