can i use Oracle Key Vault as a KMIP server for VMware

I have a VMware ESXi v6.5 host. I wish to encrypt VM's. VMware requires a 3rd-party KMIP server. Can I use Oracle Key Vault?

I have OKV 12.2 running on my network, and my VMware host connects to it, but I am having trouble negotiating a trust relationship (ie setting up the keys) between the two machines.
