Oracle Database Discussions

Hi,

i am trying to install oracle database 64-bit on a linux RHES 4.0 64-bit processor.
i got lot of errors and i figured out that some packages need to be downgraded for the database to be installed.
so i dropped those packages but along with that i have to drop their depenedent packages.

later i realised that it was a huge mistake. bec the packages that i dropped are important.

Can i now install all the linux packages without formatting and reinstalling the whole linux OS. If then how can i do this?

Can someone guide me please.
