Can I make 1 dashboard prompt affect values in another prompt on the same page?

Hi Gurus,

I have a situation where I have an accounting period prompt. I have created another prompt which is a derived column in rpd i.e. it has a formula like if accounting_period = 3 then 'December 31st' when accounting_period = '6' then 'Apr30th' and so on.. If user chooses 3, the value for this prompt shud show 'December 31st'. If user chooses 6, it shud automtically show Apr 30th. I have checked the option of "Limit Values by Accounting Period".

So when user chooses 3, it does show 'December 31st' as the option but user has to choose that too. How can I make this 2nd prompt by default acquire the words based on accounting period values? i.e. When user chooses 3 in 1st prompt, automatically the value displayed in teh 2nd prompt shud show it in words 'December31st'....

If passing values between prompts is not possible, please let me know if there is a way where I can execute a CASE statement in a column header? If user chooses 3 in the dashboard prompt, my column header should change to "December 31st".

Thanks,

Dan
