can i assign an 'order by' clause dynamically IN FORMS ??

for example..
select A
from TABLE
where A is not null
&V_ORDERBY
In this, v_orderby might be 'order by name' like that,,,
can i assign an 'order by' clause dynamically IN FORMS ??
