Can form builder achieve login function ?

Hi, I am designing a system that requires a user login page with oracle form builder. Normally if webpages are used the information of login users will be stored in cookies. But I'm not sure how this can be achieved in oracle forms? Can i define something like global variables so every transaction the user does after login will be automatically associated with his/her user ID ?
