Can anyone help me understand UseAdaptiveSizePolicy flag?

Hi,
Is there any benefit of using the UseConcMarkSweepGC and UseParNewGC with UseAdaptiveSizePolicy? What exactly does the flag do. Also, does it mean that one should not specify any boundaries for the Young Generation, Permanent Generation and the Tenured Generation. Kindly help me understand this flag.
