Calling Crystal Reports from ApExp using JSP?

As I understand, to call Crystal Reports (v10 or XI) from ApExp and pass destination source (printer/Excel/Pdf), plus pass parameters and user login info, we must use jsp to access Crystal Enterprise. Crystal calls this "Embedded Report". Has anyone called Crystal Reports, using jsp, from ApExp?
