Calling a JSP / Servlet without redirecting to the page

Hi everyone,

This might be a very stupid question, but I'm pretty new to servlets and I can't figure it out.

I would like to call a servlet in my html page, but I don't want the browser to redirect to it.

I just want to set the sever side Java code off.

I hope my question is clear enough.
