Calculate difference in hours

Hi Experts,

I am using obiee10g.

I have calendar date as prompt. It is made as calendar with in between in dashboard prompt.

My requirement is when user select date range from prompt and click go, in my report there column Requested hour should show total hours between the requested date.

for eg: date between 2013-05-18 to 2013-05-19 : REquested hour = 48 hours

I am not able to pass the date in variable for calculating hours.

Kindly help me.
