Cache size for a heavily used sequence

Y.RamletDec 28 2015 — edited Dec 31 2015

DB versions: 11.2.0.4

Platform : RHEL 6.5

Clustering: 3-Node RAC

We are going to create a sequence which is going to be heavily used at times. I understand that the default cache size is 20.Can I increase it to 500 for this particular sequence?

I assume that the cache size can be increased if I have sufficient memory allocated for shared pool.We have allocated 100GB of SGA for all 3-instances of this RAC DB. So, setting a cache size of 500 is fine ?

We only have 8 sequences in this DB ; three of them have 100 as the cache size and rest having 20.
