C2M Full Context to Display Measuring component based on Read Sequence rather than randomly displaying any (Enhancement)

Aditya ChauhanMar 25 2026

Current Behavior
When an account is opened in C2M, the Dashboard Full Context menu displays a Measuring Component (MC) associated with the device.
However, if multiple Measuring Components are active for the same Device / Device Configuration, the system selects one arbitrarily. There is no deterministic ordering, which results in inconsistent and unpredictable MC selection for users.
This behavior causes confusion because different Measuring Components may appear each time, even though they belong to the same device.

Enhancement Options
Option 1: Read Sequence–Based Selection
Always select the Measuring Component with the lowest D1_READ_SEQ for the given Device / Device Configuration. This provides predictable behavior with minimal configuration effort.
Option 2: Configurable Priority
Make the selection logic configurable so the business can define Measuring Comp

When did it start happening?
> Always the case

Has this ever worked before—or are we looking at a brand-new issue?
> Always had the issue

Can you walk us through how to recreate the issue?
> Just Open and account and Dashboard full context menu opens

Does this seem to happen in one specific place or across multiple areas of the system?
> All cases

Got any screenshots, logs, or error messages you can share?
> will attach as an document
