c-<DBID>-<DATE>-number files in dbs directory.

Hi all.

I have seen files without extension in the /oracle/920/dbs directory. They are named like c-<DBID>-<DATE>-number and about 30MB each one. Looking the time they were created I realize that they have been generated by RMAN. What's the purpose of them? Can I delete them? or maybe better backup them? Because the directory size is growing too much.

Thank you.
