C compiler fails on Solaris 7 with license error
807559Sep 5 2001 — edited Sep 5 2001Hello everyone,
I am facing a strange problem. After my Sol 7 system crashed few days ago, the data were recovered and system was reconfigured. Then i have installed SUNWspro C compiler 4.2 as well as their licenses. Now when i run cc, i get following error :
$ cc docgen.c
License Error : Licensing product (Sun WorkShop Compiler C).
License File: /opt2/SUNWspro/bin/../SC4.2/bin/../../license_dir/sunpro.lic,2
Invalid license key (inconsistent license key) (-8,130)
cc: acomp failed for docgen.c
$
I don't know how to fix this problem. I have tried to copy the sunpro.lic,n file from other Sun system similarly configured and working. But still it doesn't work.
One thing was observed at license installation time was that Password checksum was correct but data checksum was not coming correct. Is it the problem ? Then please tell me how to fix that.
Someone told me that it may be due to missing of some patches. Is it so ? Then what is the exact procedure to fix that one.
I am badly in need of solving this problem, as my research work is getting hampered. So please guide me in this matter asap.
Thanks in advance.
