Bypass JSF Validation

843844Jun 19 2007 — edited Jun 19 2007
Hello! First of all i'm sorry for my english level, it is not my native language.

I'm new in the world of JSF, and i have this situation. I'm trying to make a wizard, so i have a back button and next button. I have no problems with the next button, but my problem is the back button. I'd like to press the back button and bypass jsf validation, but the state of the page have to be save. So when i press the next button of the previous page i'll see the values i had entered (no matter if they are wrong)

I hope have explain my situation and idea. I tried to use immediate property, but it didn't work to me.

I'll appreciate your answer. Thank you very much.

pd: i forgot to mention i use seam and sometimes hibernate validations on backing beans attributes.
