Button template in older theme 2 versus newer HTML5 theme

Hi All,

  We moved from template 2 to template 26 which is the latest HTML5 template. However, the buttons seem to have some issues. Some of our buttons have static id's and any button that has a static id, we are unable change the template to Button. If we select HTML legacy, it works fine, however, the button looks like the older forms. Any idea how to fix this? Where we can select button type and have a static id associated with it?
