This is an old issue that keeps coming back and it still is v23 of APEX.
Create a List View → Enable Search (Settings tab) → Search anything and click on it.
Clicking in the item will cause it to reload the list a second time. Which is not a big deal, but if the user has to do this action 100 times a day, they will get a "bit frustrated”.
I use this feature a lot in mobile apps to make it easier to find stuff, but in our case we had to remove the enable search and do it with page items which doesn't make sense since we have a feature for that exact functionality.
