Branch with javascript:popupWindow

Hi all,

I created a button which redirects to a javascript which opens a popup window. This works ! Now I called the same javascript function from a page level branch which gives "page cannot be displayed" in the browser.

My question: is it possible to do branches with javascript and how can I do this after submitting a page because I need page item validation.
