boot from hard disk failed not a bootable disk on oracle VM

Dear,

i am installing oracle EL5 on oracle VM . after the first CD i need to connect to console and start the EL5 installation. the screen frozen so i have to power off and power on the new virtual Linux server. the new VM was power on fine but when connect to the console i got the error
"boot from hard disk failed, not a bootable disk FATAL: no bootable device"
Please advice what i could do with this error.
