Bluetooth Applet

Hey All,

I'm fairly new to java, and I had a quick question. Is it possible to create a java applet that can make a bluetooth connection from the host computer to a bluetooth enabled device? I've read that there are some restrictions to applets. Similar questions have been asked on the forums, but no conclusions were reached.
