Block Unauthorized Programs From Accessing Oracle.

Hello,

I would like to know if there was a way to block certain programs from accessing Oracle 9i?

We are using the ERP program Visual Manufacturing, and would like to block other programs from accessing (querying) the database (MS Query / MS Access), apart from roles/system priv/object priv?
