Block abuse from ip address

807574Jul 7 2008 — edited Feb 10 2020
Hi, last week two users from my mail server were sending a lot of mail in a few time (i think a virus caused this) so i blocked them by changing their password. So then the smtp authentication failed for them and spam stopped.

My question is, Sun Java(tm) System Messaging has a way to block an IP address or a user based on a messages/second rate or something like that?

My Sun Java(tm) System Messaging version is:
/jes/bin/SUNWmsgsr/sbin# ./imsimta version

Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2-7.05 (built Sep 5 2006)
libimta.so 6.2-7.05 (built 12:18:44, Sep 5 2006)
SunOS mail 5.9 Generic_118558-39 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240
Sorry, bad english

Thanks for the help
