Blob with Oracle Lite 5.0.2.10 .NET PPC2003

Has anyone experience with retreiving a blob from an oracle lite database version 5.0.2.10?

For some reason, if I convert the C# example to visual basic, I get the error message [POL-5135] Can't assign this data with a SQL statement.

Using compact framework 1.0 with PPC2003, visual studio .net 2003
