Blank screen appears when trying to run Form

Hi,

Win 2003, Forms v10.1.2.0.2, Db v10.2.0.1

I'm trying to run Forms from an app server for the first time.
The process in the past has been to run Forms standalone i.e. using an OC4J instance locally on my PC
which is fine.
Now there is a requirement to enable third party access to the server to run Forms from there.
I've modified formsweb.cfg file to have an entry e.g. [dev] with associated values below it i.e. 'workingdirectory'

I've also modified the FORMS_PATH value in the default.env file to additionally point to the 'workingdirectory' (where the fmbs, fmxs,
plls etc. reside) on the server.
Just to be on the safe side I also modified the FORMS_PATH in the registry although I think if I've done it in the default.env file
then that is what Oracle first looks at so does not need to be specified in the registry?

I've modified the Preferences setting (in Forms Builder) for the runtime URL path to point to config=dev
I've bounced the app server after making the formsweb.cfg change

When I try and run the form from Forms Builder I see a blank white screen with 'Oracle Forms' displayed in the top left hand corner.

My question is to do with OC4J instance as I don't properly understand it. There is an OC4J running as an App Server component but do I need
to create a new OC4J when trying to run my form from the server (via Forms Builder) or would it run using the existing OC4J (App Server) instance?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Tom
